Welcome to the Change Log

Base4Design exists because I believe God gives each of us unique gifts and calls us to use them faithfully. Scripture reminds us that whatever we do, we should do it wholeheartedly as unto the Lord. For me, one of those gifts has always been the desire to build, create, and solve problems through software. Coding is more than a career or hobby, it is one of the ways I worship my Creator by developing the abilities He entrusted to me.

The name Base4 reflects a broader conviction about how God designed His creation. Much of modern Western thinking naturally seeks simple either/or answers. We instinctively divide the world into categories: true or false, right or wrong, success or failure. Those distinctions certainly have their place. Yet when we open Scripture, we often discover that God's wisdom is richer than our categories. The Bible repeatedly holds truths together that seem, at first glance, to be in tension: justice and mercy, grace and obedience, God's sovereignty and human responsibility, Israel and the Church, the Law and the Promise. Rather than forcing every question into a binary choice, Scripture often invites us to see a greater harmony that embraces the fullness of God's design.

This website is my ongoing record of exploring that design.

Like a software project grows through individual commits, every article here represents another step in my own journey of learning. They are not claims of having arrived, but snapshots of where study, experience, conversation, and God's Word have brought me today.

Those commits naturally fall into three areas.

Code Commits explores software development, artificial intelligence, website architecture, and the continual refinement of Base4Design itself.

Life Commits reflects on the lessons God teaches through family, work, relationships, successes, failures, and the ordinary experiences that quietly shape who we become.

Truth Commits explores Scripture, theology, history, and the patterns woven throughout God's Word. These articles are invitations to think deeply, search the Scriptures carefully, and marvel at the remarkable consistency of God's revelation.

Although these topics may appear different, they are all part of the same calling. Truth informs life. Life informs design. Design serves people. My hope is that every commit—whether technical, personal, or theological—points a little more clearly to the wisdom, beauty, and order of the One who designed it all.
